Cruise Terminal Facilities
Dover has long been one of the world's premier seaports, with centuries of maritime heritage. Today the experience at Dover is a singularly modern one. Driven by massive investment, state of the art facilities, excellent modern transport links and award winning customer service, the port is very much a 21st century operation. As a result Dover is the UK's second busiest cruise port. Just minutes from the Channel shipping lanes and less than two hours drive from London, Dover is perfect for both turnarounds and port of call visits.
But what makes Dover so special is its impressive location. With the famous White Cliffs dominated by the Norman castle, the approach from the sea is a unique experience. Dover has two dedicated cruise terminals.Terminal 1 is a characterful conversion of a stylish Victorian railway station. Terminal 2 is a sleek, modern building that offers state of the art facilities.
Designed specifically as a cruise terminal, every need of the modern day traveller is catered for. In addition, we also have an adjacent third berth, known as Cruise Terminal 3, available for port of call visits. This gives us the capacity to handle up to four cruise ships at any one time. So perfect in fact, we already welcome over 200,000 cruise passengers a year from cruise lines such as MSC Cruise Lines, Disney Cruise Lines, Celebrity, Costa, Fred Olsen, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania and Saga.
